The minister for Education Mutula Kilonzo (left) on the 26th of September 2012 read a statement on the disbursement of capitation grants for free Primary and free Secondary education programmes, which added up to a total of approximately 6 billion Kenya shillings (Ksh.6,051,131,192.00).
