The Jubilee Party MCAs were voting to elect their Chief Whip and Majority Leader after a long period of wrangles that had paralysed the business of the House, at times becoming physical. Majority Leader Lawi Kipchumba won the position against Julius Ng’otie, while Chief Whip Richard Cheserem won the position, removing Reuben Chepsongol. The elections were presided over by Jubilee Party officials sent from the head office.
