Kiambu Governor William Kabogo addresses a crowd in Kiambu Town on December 21, 2014 where he launched 12 garbage collection trucks bought by the county government. Kabogo said a referendum is not needed to increase county allocation and that National Assembly members should pass legislation to increase ‘pesa mashinani’ and put the referendum issue to rest. He said he quit the referendum course after it was hijacked by the CORD coalition, giving it a political direction.
