The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairperson Wafula W. Chebukati at the Supreme Court on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, after witnessing IEBC chief executive Marjan Hussein Marjan taking the oath of office. Mr. Marjan has been holding the IEBC’s acting CEO since the exit of Ezra Chiloba in 2018. The bureaucrat was declared most suitable for the job among five candidates. He will be in charge of IEBC’s day to day operations, a pivotal role in the run up to the August 9, 2022, General Election.
