October 17, 1989: Parliament lift the ban imposed on reporters of the Nation Group of newspapers four months ago from reporting parliamentary proceedings. In a motion moved under standing Order number 45 dealing with admission to the National Assembly, the Member of Parliament for Rarieda, Mr Bob Jalang’o, said the Nation Group of newspapers, whose reporters were banned from the Press Gallery had learnt a lesson were now remorseful and were prepared to begin a new chapter.
