December 6, 1982: The former MP for Tinderet, Mr. Marie John Seroney, has dies. Mr. Seroney died of hepatitis failure, jaundice and anemia, according to Dr. Nalini Mandevia of the MP Shah Hospital. Mr. Seroney was admitted to the hospital in the afternoon of November 30 complaining of pains in his chest. After five days in the general ward he was transferred to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit on Saturday, she added. Meanwhile, President Moi sent a message of condolences to the bereaved family of Mr. Seroney. The message said President Moi had learned with “deep sorrow” of the untimely death of Mr. Seronev. Other messages of condolence came from Dr. Julius Gikonyo Kiano, the managing director of the Industrial Bank and from the Minister for Industry, Mr. Andrew Omanga.
