November 17, 1966: Three Kenya journalists return to the country from a 17-day tour of India, the first organised by the Indian Government for a Press group from Kenya. The three, Mr.Walter Nyawanda, editor of the Kenya News Agency, Mr. Boaz Omori, news editor at VOK, and Mr. Francis Khamisi, editor of Baraza, held discussions with Indian newsmen on developments in Kenya and India. They also held meetings with the Indian Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Commerce and Health and with a number of States’ Chief Ministers. Industrial progress was a key point of interest for the visitors. They also met the Indian President Dr. S, Radhakrishnan.
