August 19, 1994: The National Health crisis intensifies as President Moi orders disciplinary action against striking doctors. Three women Opposition MPs pleaded with the President to negotiate or face possible street protests, while also urging the strikers to return. At a Press conference in Nairobi opposition MPs Phoebe Asiyo (FORD-K)(Left), Agnes Ndetei (DP)(right) and Charity Kaluki Ngilu (DP) urged President Moi to set everything else aside and start a dialogue.
