Description

Water and Irrigation Minister Charity Ngilu and Director of Water Services Lawrence Simiti address the media at Maji House, Nairobi, on June 10, 2009, before flagging off eight water bowsers, bringing the total number procured to 20. The trucks will be used to supply water to informal settlements in Nairobi and other areas affected by drought. The ministry, through the Athi Water Services Board, has also drilled 11 boreholes at a cost of Sh24 million to supplement water provided by the Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company.
