Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka congratulates newly elected Zambian President Rupiah Banda during his swearing-in ceremony held at the Zambian National Parliament Building in Lusaka today. President Banda was declared the winner of a closely contested election, garnering 718,359 votes against his main challenger Michael Sata’s 683,156. The election followed the death of former President Levy Mwanawasa. November 2, 2008.
