Speaker of the National Assembly Kenneth Marende and Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo are taken on a tour of St. Cecilia Girls’ High School in Mautuma, Lugari District, by the principal, Mariciana Cheti, during the official launch of the school’s strategic plan and a fundraiser for a school bus on October 1, 2011. Marende appealed to the students to aim higher by emulating the late Wangari Maathai and urged institutions to equip schools with the necessary resources to enable students to pursue electronic learning in line with the goals of Vision 2030.
