Description

November 27, 1972: An Assistant Minister for Tourism and wildlife, Mr. Josiah. Mwangi Kariuki popularly known as JM in his Nairobi office presenting a cheque for 1,000/= to the Rusinga Welfare Association. The chairman of the association, Mr. R.P. Onyango (centre), who received the cheque on behalf of his organisation, said that the money will go towards construction of the Tom Mboya Health Centre, which was started by the late Minister in 1968 in Rusinga Island, South Nyanza. Mr. Onyango, was accompanied by the organisation’s secretary, Mr. M.O. Ojwang (right)
