Meru Senator Kiraitu Murungi (right), Igembe South MP Mithika Linturi (left), with Zablon Mukira at Murungi’s residence in Nkubu on June 22, 2017. Mukira had said he would sell his earthly possessions to campaign for the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta. Kenyatta was expected to tour the county that day, and Murungi said he would ensure he met Mukira. Murungi gave Mukira KSh 100,000.
