Here, President Jomo Kenyatta leads wananchi in singing “Kanu Yajenga Nchi” after being entertained by traditional dancers and choirs from Kilifi District at State House Mombasa, on May 9, 1977. The lively dancing and pleasant tunes were continuously punctuated by loud applause from the audience which included a contingent of sailors from the American ship La Salle on a visit to Coast.
