Description

John Robert Williams has been appointed as the new British High Commissioner to the Republic of Kenya, succeeding the retiring Stanley Fingland. Born in London and educated at Cambridge, Williams has a distinguished career including service in the Army (1941–1946) and diplomatic posts in Delhi, Lagos, and Fiji. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Assistant Under-Secretary of State (African Affairs) in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. October 24, 2025.
