April 13, 1981: Jaramogi Oginga Odinga handed in his application papers for party clearance at Kanu Headquarters. The Completed papers Forms A1 and A2 were given to a secretary (Left) in the office of party National Organizing Secretary Mr. Nathan Munoko at the Kenya International Conference Centre. Mr. Munoko was said to be in Western Kenya. He asked her not to forget handing over the papers to Mr. Munoko since the nomination day was drawing close. He was barred from contesting the Bondo Parliamentary by-election.
