Former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo at the Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. Businessman Bryan Yongo sought to have him jailed for failing to settle a Sh25 million debt. The magistrate’s court directed that Jirongo be held at a police station until the following day, when he was expected to pay Sh5 million cash bail to secure his release.
