Activist Okiya Omtatah listens as High Court judges Anthony Mrima, Kanyi Kimondo and Arsenath Ongeri gave their ruling on September 27, 2019, at Milimani Courts, Nairobi, during the ruling on Mzee Kenyatta’s portrait in the new generation currency notes. The judges ruled that Mzee Kenyatta’s portrait in the new generation currency notes is part of KICC and also ruled that Central Bank of Kenya [CBK] reasonably involved the public in the process. Judges Kanyi Kimondo and Arsenath Ongeri said the petition lacks merit. But Justice Anthony Mrima wrote a dissenting opinion.
