Principal Secretary for Public Investments and Assets Management, Cyrell Odede Wagunda, speaks to journalists after closing a sensitization training workshop on asset management and the roll-out of the IFMIS Asset/Inventory Module at the Nyeri National Polytechnic on September 26, 2025. He urged counties to digitize asset registers, secure ownership records, and make better use of public assets to generate revenue, stressing the need for clear budgets and ongoing officer training to boost accountability and protect public resources. The workshop brought together senior officers from Nakuru, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Nyandarua, and Nairobi counties.
