Member of the County Assembly of Kakamega Cleophas Malala, who was impeached as Deputy Speaker of Kakamega on 1 July 2014, displaying a Court of Appeal ruling from Kisumu on 12 February 2016 which reinstated him as Deputy Speaker, saying that the right procedure was not followed. Malala had filed an appeal following a High Court ruling at Kakamega delivered on 17 October 2014. Governor of Kakamega Wycliffe Oparanya was expected to officially address the Assembly after recess.
