January 4, 1990: Sir Eboo Pirbhai,(Left) a leading personality in Kenya dies at Princess Grace Hospital in London of heart failure where he had been undergoing treatment over the last few months. On hearing the news, President Moi sent condolences to His Highness the Aga Khan, the Ismaili community, relatives and friends of Sir Eboo. He was the leader of the Shia Ismaili Muslim community in the East Africa. In this photo, Sir Eboo is seen presenting Nairobi Mayor His Worship Nathan Kahara with a silver box with a gold crest.
