March 7, 1991: Dr. Robert Ouko’s 1988 campaign manager denies that he drove the Minister to Got Alila on the night of February 12/13. last year. Mr. Otieno Adema, popularly known as Otieno Gor, also told the commission inquiring into the Minister’s death that his car was not used by anybody that night. Dr. Ouko went missing on February 13. Three days later his charred remains were found at the foothill of Got Alila. Previous witnesses have told the commission that they saw a white car turning at the gate leading to the Minister’s Koru farm in Kisumu District at 3 am on February 13. The white car is said to have then driven at top speed along a road leading to Kisumu. “Otieno Gor, did you use your vehicle to transport the Minister to Got AliJa on the night of Feb[1]ruary 12/13 last year. The commission’s chairman, Mr, Justice Johnson Evan Gicheru asked the witness. Mr Gor said he did not and told the commission that he owned a matatu and a white Peugeot 404 saloon vehicle. He also said he was among four people who had gone to see the Minister on February 12. The others were a Kisumu businessman, Mr Peter Kasuku, his brother, Albert, and the Minister’s sister, Mrs. Dorothy Randiak. The visitors left Koru at 10 pm. “I did not drive back to Koru after we had left the Minister at home, Mr. Gor told the commission when he was further questioned by Mr. Justice Gicheru.
