On November 23, 1971, Benson Mwakugu from Voice of Kenya participated in a ten-week overseas radio production course at the BBC in London. He is pictured with fellow participants: Yaga Abubakar (Northern Nigeria), Aaron Ndzinisa (Swaziland), Anthony Dadzie (Ghana), Anthony Manuba (Nigeria), and Emelda Yumbe (Zambia). Their instructor, Sheila Geary, is also in the photo. Before returning to Kenya, Mwakugu will spend an additional two weeks at the BBC starting December 3.
